ONLINE Middle School Music Audition Requirements

The Music Department is looking for middle school students with passion for Music.  Students will demonstrate their musical skills and tell us about their passion.

To apply to the SDSCPA Middle School Music program:

Please complete an audition video. Your audition video should be recent (within one month of submission) and must include the following components. Your video should not exceed 5 minutes in length.

Video Introduction

1. ​In your video, please introduce yourself.  Include:

• Your first and last name

• The grade you will be entering in the Fall

• What instrument(s) you play 

(if you are auditioning for Vocal Arts, you can mention this instead of what instrument you will be playing.)

     

   2. Answer the following questions:

• What do you enjoy about playing (or singing) music?

• Why do you want to come to SDSCPA?

   3. Play a musical selection on your instrument, or sing a song!

• Remember to introduce the musical selection you will be performing.

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION APPLICATION

Please upload your video to a cloud folder like Google Drive or Drop Box.

If you prefer to use YouTube, please upload the video as Unlisted to protect your student’s privacy, and include the link in our cloud folder. 

If you use Google Drive, please make sure the settings on your folder and video are set so that Anyone with the Link can view the contents.
